Vorago

"Not amazing, not horrible."

submission: Vorago
date: August 3, 2009

This seemed to be more of a guessing game, rather than a puzzle game.
1. I never knew that the husband can tie knots. There was not a single hint or indication at it.

2. The little wooden cube can pop a trunk? Sounds really illogical, and again, there was no clue. Perhaps there should've been a description saying "I can use this to break something open."

3. The pen in the husband's shirt pocket didn't really show up until you got into the little store. Even then, I had no idea I was supposed to take it. I thought it was just... there!

4. The spray-can in the little girl's butt pocket, same case as above.

5. I didn't know I was supposed to set the flies on fire and thus the cat, because I had no idea what good setting the cat aflame would do, beforehand. Which by the way, completely changed the serious atmosphere of the game, in a rather bad way.

6. The video tape in the trash perhaps, and the video tape above the dairy product freezer. There wasn't a clue left behind to point it out, and I don't remember seeing a sparkle to indicate it either...

7. I was oblivious to the hairpin hidden in the little photo. I also didn't know there was a frame around the picture.

This game probably would've taken ages to complete without a walkthrough. The significant items are hidden too well.
I did like the background art. Major eye-candy.
The voice acting was also top notch (and familiar?) and really set the atmosphere for the story. I really could feel how serious the situation was, until the cat played a comical role.
The storyline seemed a little... uninspired. It felt very deja vu. Let's see, we have a stranded couple, a little helpless girl, a delusional madman (who was predictably the antagonist), and a casual man to rival the antagonist, which then triggers his deeper personality. I felt like I've seen this scenario before. And the ending wasn't none too jaw-dropping either.
I also didn't like having to depend too much on the other characters too move the plot forward. It would've been nice to have figured it out myself.
The character models were pretty well done, except for the noticeable "anime effects" which I'm not too bright about, and everything moved smoothly.

But the minigame regarding the little race car was a major pain in the ass. Too often my car was caught from an invisible bear trap. Changing the angle and perspective of that little game would be nice.

SAS: Zombie Assault 2

"Status bars!"

date: July 21, 2009

Status bars here would've been totally helpful.

Status bar for when you reload, because although I get the faster reloading upgrade, the sound of the weapon reloading plays as though I never got it. A status bar showing the progress of the reloading would be nice, so we would know when we could fire. It's confusing.

Also, a status bar for the barricades. I get really paranoid about the damage done to the barricades, because when you repair them, they look new, but when one single zombie takes one swipe at it, it looks like it's gonna break already.

This shouldn't be mandatory, but I think the harder zombies that take longer to kill should have health bars hovering by them.

The game is loads of fun, even though the swarm of zombies is extremely ridiculous. The idea of purchasing new areas is quite innovative, as it forces the player conserve money, especially when there are better weapons in some areas.

It's not scary, but it definitely knows how to implement the feeling of panic... In me, at least.

But, the idea of the top down view has been done before, many many times. We're all beginning to tire of it. And we all love status bars.

Which is exactly what I need to start my day.

Great job, over time, your musical reputation will probably expand into the real world and out of the cyber world. You will be known all over dance clubs! I can imagine it... DeeJay F-777 and KRIZ.

Keep it up. Hope to see more from ya.

A very vague song, very easy to get into.

You should (if you can) somehow put this in dance clubs. It be a great song to dance to; enjoyable.

Keep it up! I'm waiting on your next collab.
